Kilmar Abrego Garcia Back In U.S., Will Face Human Trafficking Charges

Democrats have gotten their demand as deported illegal alien and alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia, is back in the United States.

The Trump administration procured his return from El Salvador, his nation of origin, to which he was deported, where he now will face charges of human trafficking, Fox News reported.

“The Justice Department’s Grand Jury Indictment against Abrego Garcia proves the unhinged Democrat Party was wrong, and their stenographers in the Fake News Media were once again played like fools,” a press release from the Trump administration said. “Abrego Garcia was never an innocent ‘Maryland Man’ — he is an illegal alien terrorist, gang member, and human trafficker… Democrat lawmakers like Senator Chris Van Hollen and the so-called ‘journalists’ who defended this criminal must immediately apologize to his victims.”

He made his first court appearance Friday evening in the Middle District of Tennessee, responding in Spanish — “Yes, I understand” — when U.S. Magistrate Judge Barbara Holmes asked if he understood the charges.

Holmes scheduled a hearing for June 13, where Abrego Garcia will be formally arraigned. At that time, the judge will also consider the government’s request to keep him locked up before trial, arguing he’s a danger to the community and a serious flight risk.

Until then, he stays in federal custody in Tennessee.

“If convicted at trial, the defendant faces a maximum punishment of 10 years’ imprisonment for ‘each alien’ he transported,” the government said in its motion for detention.

It also included a disturbing claim — not part of the official indictment — that one of Abrego Garcia’s co-conspirators told authorities he helped carry out the murder of a rival gang member’s mother back in El Salvador.

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Friday that 29-year-old Abrego Garcia had arrived in the U.S. and will now face federal charges that include conspiracy.

“Abrego Garcia has landed in the United States to face justice,” she said.  “A grand jury in the Middle District of Tennessee returned a sealed indictment charging him with alien smuggling and conspiracy.”

“He traded the innocence of minor children for profit,” she said.

The illegal alien’s attorney said in an online press briefing that the charges against Garcia were an “an abuse of power.”

“They’ll stop at nothing at all — even some of the most preposterous charges imaginable — just to avoid admitting that they made a mistake, which is what everyone knows happened in this case,” his attorney Simon Sandoval-Moshenberg said.

“Mr. Garcia is going to be vigorously defending the charges against him,” she said.

But Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem shredded the media and Democrats, whom she said lionized the illegal alien.

“For the last two months, the media and Democrats have burnt to the ground any last shred of credibility they had left as they glorified Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a known MS13 gang member, human trafficker, and serial domestic abuser,” she said to Fox News Digital.

“Today, the United States of America confronts Kilmar Abrego Garcia with overwhelming evidence — he is being indicted by a grand jury for human smuggling, including children, and conspiracy. Justice awaits this Salvadoran man,” she said.

Fox News Digital got hold of Tennessee Highway Patrol bodycam footage from a 2022 traffic stop where troopers pulled over Abrego Garcia for speeding. Inside the car were eight other men, which instantly raised red flags. “He’s hauling these people for money,” one of the troopers said.

They found $1,400 in cash on him and ran his name through the National Crime Information Center, which triggered a gang and terrorism alert. ICE was notified, but never responded as was typical during the Biden administration.

“What’s changed since then?” Bondi said. “Donald Trump is now president of the United States, and our borders are again secure.”
